The Masterclasses 2022 — the travel photography sessions
From 24-26 January 2022, the National Geographic Traveller team will provide a series of stimulating workshops and lectures that illuminate the art of written and visual storytelling.
The three one-hour photography classes are aimed at beginner- and intermediate-level travel photographers, providing invaluable advice on all aspects of the craft, from pitching and publication to selecting the right kit.
“Stay in one place for longer,” says photographer, videographer and writer Nori Jemil, who will be moderating one of the sessions. “Take your time to plan, be prepared with the right settings and equipment, then give yourself a chance to capture your subject.”
Here’s what to expect:
1. How to create an award-winning travel feature
Our expert photographers will reveal their tips, tricks and insider knowledge on how they got the shots for their best features, and how you can use those techniques in your own photography.

2. On assignment
Find out how to select the right kit, approach the best subjects and get those perfect shots when you’re on location — from street photography and portraits to landscapes and nature.
